We celebrate the beginning of a new year every Advent. As we press forward toward the future vision God is revealing and accomplishing through our church, we will gather as a communion for a Holiday Dinner circa 1816. This location at 126 Coming Street was consecrated a Church for the Lord’s Glory in 1816. In gratitude for the blessing of our location and the opportunities to minister the Gospel our corner provides today we will remember our beginning with a grand “period” themed meal of wild game, and early American (southern) dishes common to the holiday expression of those who planted the parish we so enjoy today.
Following the meal there will be an Acts in Action presentation as we prepare for the year ahead.
Children are invited to a time of Christmas preparation and pageant rehearsal in the church. Nursery Ministry will be offered during the presentation.
Please keep Mrs. Allison Lawrence, wife of Bishop Mark Lawrence, in your prayers. She has suffered a back injury and will be recuperating at home. Please, no visitors at this time. We encourage you to add her to your parish prayer list. Cards of encouragement are welcome!
