Choral Ministry

“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; let the whole earth stand in awe of him.”
(Psalm 96:9)

The Cathedral’s Choral Ministry seeks to serve the worship life of the congregation, primarily at the 9:15 a.m. Rite I Choral Eucharist on Sundays, but also at combined services, special evening services, and Diocesan events. The choirs of the Cathedral are affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music in America. Membership in the choirs is open to all.

The Chorister’s Prayer

Our choristers, both children and adults, say this prayer before singing at each service.

Bless, O Lord, us Thy servants,
who minister in Thy temple.
Grant that what we sing with our lips,
we may believe in our hearts,
and what we believe in our hearts,
we may show forth in our lives.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(attr. Sydney Nicholson, founder of the RSCM)
