Please note that there is no Compline in December – Compline resumes Sunday, January 8, 2017
Every Sunday we end the weekend with this beautiful ancient service of Compline: “a service of evening prayers forming part of the Divine Office of the Western Christian Church, traditionally said (or chanted) before retiring for the night.” About 20 minutes long, this service is a reflective and peaceful candlelit service, and a helpful way to begin your week.
If you are a singer with an interest in chant and early music (Tallis, Byrd, Sheppard, etc.) please contact Choral Ministry Director Paul Thomas (email@example.com) for opportunities to sing. There are other ways to help out as well, such as lighting candles and greeting newcomers – please contact Paul about those possibilities as well.
The Compline Choir sings Rachmaninoff’s “Bogoroditse Dyevo.”
