Approximately 40 children and 30 adults enjoyed a wonderful time together celebrating the life of St Patrick and learning more about his love for sharing the Gospel. Through activities, crafts, video and a worship service that featured St Patrick himself (!) we were challenged to share the Gospel with our friends and neighbors as Patrick had: through prayer, through engaging with our local communities, and through practicing hospitality in our homes.
After St Patrick rushed out of the church due to some snake emergency, the evening was rounded off with a great meal of Irish stew, potatoes and bread. A team of adults and children worked hard all afternoon to prepare this delicious meal.
A special thank you to all those who put in so much work to make this event a success, especially our 5th through 7th grade community group. Hopefully it will not be the last of it’s kind! And as St Patrick said to us:
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
