Becoming like Christ
Our growth and formation begins with the God given longings of each human heart—secure identity, a true story, lasting change, a beautiful vocation—and continues in the rhythms of the Gospel lived out together. We grow through music and prayer ministries, we are formed by the teaching of God’s word, and we are shaped by serving the church body and our neighbors.

Prayer Ministry
Healing prayer is where the Lord Christ meets us in our deepest need. We offer prayer ministry each Sunday morning during Communion, monthly Prayer and Worship nights, and individual prayer appointments.
Music
Our music is liturgical, rooted in tradition, and alive with the Spirit. Our music ministry, comprised of our contemporary band and choir, helps create space in our hearts to hear from Almighty God.
Serve your church, city, and world
Serving together builds for God’s Kingdom today, and it’s a great way to connect with others at The Cathedral. Each Sunday and throughout the week, we send out a diverse team of volunteers to facilitate ministry and love our neighbors. We’re here to help you discover how your gifts might serve your church, city, and world.
Service Teams
From hospitality to kids ministry, there are countless ways to serve on Sundays and beyond. We’re here to help you find where your gifts meet current needs. Read more about each team and reach out using the linked form to tell us about your interests. We’ll set up a time to chat with you more.
Prepare for various aspects of Sunday worship and communion as well as special events with the Welcome Team or the Hospitality Team.
Lead parts of Sunday liturgy or prepare the table for Communion. Teams include scripture readers, the Altar Guild, and cupbearers.
Be a part of our music ministry through joining our contemporary band, choir, or AV team.
Pray with others during weekly Communion or at one of our prayer ministry events. Our prayer team is trained by our Canon for Prayer and Pastoral Care.
Volunteer for Cathedral Kids or Student Groups and help create a safe and loving environment for our young ones in the family to grow in the knowledge and love of God.
Our leaders are trained to open space for good fellowship and gospel-centered conversation in their homes or in a host home each week.
Ministry Partners
The Cathedral partners with local organizations for the common good of our neighbors. Building for God’s Kingdom today looks like serving the unhoused, the poor, the lonely, the needy in our city and our Global church. Learn more and reach out using the form linked below.
The Cathedral is just blocks away from both the College of Charleston and The Citadel. As their neighbors, we care deeply about serving and reaching students with the good news of Jesus in their formative years. We partner with Anglican ministries on both campuses.
Jesus called the poor blessed and invites his Church to look with compassion and help meet their needs. We partner with these downtown organizations who care for the unhoused or at-risk individuals and families in our city.
We partner with this faith-based charity dental clinic in North Charleston as they provide treatment for individuals whose options to care may be limited by insurance or finances.
Young Lives, a branch of the familiar Young Life ministry, comes alongside pregnant and parenting teens to share Christ’s love and meet their needs.
Over the years we’ve built a gospel partnership with the Revd Jean Claude Ngiyimbere of the Anglican Church of Burundi and New Hope Ministries. New Hope cares for orphans and widows by creating new family units and providing necessary housing, education, and agricultural training so that each family can become self-sufficient.
