Cathedral Student Ministry

We believe discipleship begins in the home, with parents and the local church as aligned allies for the sake of the Gospel.

When your child enters middle & high school, we create spaces to practice wisdom & mature faith in Jesus.

At the Cathedral, our Student Ministry exists to form middle & high school students in Christ by cultivating spaces to:

Belong in Christ | Believe the Gospel

Become like Jesus | Build on the Kingdom

Courses

Courses are spaces for students to learn more about the Gospel + experience healing in Christ

Sundays | 9-10am

Jan. 21 – Mar. 10

Confirmation is a major milestone for a disciple of Jesus. Where Baptism seals you as Christ’s own and adopts you into the Church as the family of God, Confirmation is the church’s affirmation of your mature faith in Jesus.

This Spring, a cohort of middle + high school students will journey through a Confirmation course designed to catechize and prepare you for Confirmation with Bishop Chip Edgar on June 9th. The goal of the Confirmation Course is to 1) Clarify Gospel faith, 2) Confirm mature faith in Jesus, and 3) Commission Christians to live their life-long vocation as followers of Jesus.

Big Q Nights

Spaces to boldy ask students’ biggest questions in community

3rd Sundays | 6-7:30 pm

Starting Sunday, January 21st

Every student brings important questions about life, faith, and relationships. Cathedral Students is a community that asks God big questions together!

So, every 3rd Sunday, we select a BIG Question and examine it in light of the Gospel. After an introduction and teaching about the big question, students break into small groups to discuss and explore further in workshops. Additionally, parents will receive home conversation kits before every Big Q night to keep the conversation going at home!

Serving

Discover your gifts, develop your skills, and deploy for the good of your neighbors

Jesus saves us & calls us to serve others for the sake of the Gospel. Serving is about building your life on the reality of the Kingdom, not just doing good things. We offer many opportunities to serve. Discover the way you can serve on Sundays and throughout the week, then email the team leader, and get involved.

Rhythms

Learning to listen to God in Holy Scripture, prayer, worship, and community

There is no part of your life the Gospel doesn’t touch! So, we teach students to practice a daily rhythm of praying, reading the Bible, and journaling.

Grab a journal & daily prayer guide from the Student Room and join in the rhythm!
